Ambulance workers have voted in favour of Workplace Relations Commission proposals which will see 600 new staff employed.
The new investment package was proposed last month, leading to strike action being called off while union members were balloted on the measures.
As well as the 600 new positions, the new package will also see compensation for loss of earnings due to under the public service agreement.
SIPTU members of the National Ambulance Service have voted two to one in favour of the proposals.
