This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes was forced to apologise to viewers after TV star Paddy Doherty swore during a live interview.
Eamonn said: “I just want to say that something may have slipped out from Paddy during that interview.
“We would like to say sorry in case you were offended by anything that was said that shouldn’t have been said.”
Irish Traveller Paddy, who is known for starring in TV docu-series My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, appeared on the ITV daytime show to discuss his eight-year-old granddaughter Margaret’s wishes to leave school.
Discussing his own “poor” education in his younger days, Paddy said he was bullied because of his heritage.
He said: “We were nothing, like muck on a shoe. I’d just go sign in and f***ing sit in a corner.”
He apologised immediately for his language, while Eamonn addressed the swearing following the ad break.
Why are people bothered about Paddy dropping the F-bomb , Weve all said it. #ThisMorning

I can't say I like Paddy #ThisMorning but I'd rather watch an interview with him than some stuck up z-lister spouting PR spin. Stop moaning!

Fans of the show took to Twitter after the accidental verbal slip, with many of them brushing aside Paddy’s use of the F-word and praising him for speaking out.
Paddy, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, is a prominent figure in the Traveller community, which will be under the spotlight as a new Channel 5 series explores childhood in Gypsy and Traveller communities
Gypsy Kids: Our Secret World airs on Channel 5 on Thursday at 9pm.
