The Health Minister is set to take in a series of unannounced hospital visits today.
The head of the HSE Tony O’Brien is expected to bring the Minister to a number of hospitals throughout the day – however the locations have yet to be revealed.
Simon Harris has tweeted to say he is on the road and is looking forward to engaging.
It comes as nurses and doctors union urge the Minister to take immediate action to combat hospital overcrowding – yesterday 386 people were recorded on hospital trolleys awaiting a bed.
Back on road this morning for more hospital visits. The difference today is they're unannounced visits. Looking forward to engaging
