Meetings between Independent Ministers and various Government officials on the Apple tax ruling are to continue into the evening.
The Independent Alliance say they have still to decide on their position but are understood to be moving to support an appeal to the European Court.
Ministers and TDs from the Independent Alliance met this afternoon to discuss their position, but the meeting ended after over an hour.
They are to continue discussions on various fronts and are expected to make a decision in advance of tomorrow’s 11am Cabinet meeting.
Sources say they have moved towards accepting launching an appeal of the European Commission’s ruling in return for a recall of the Dáil and debate on a strongly worded motion.
Meanwhile Independent Minister Katherine Zappone is continuing meetings into the evening after discussions with the Attorney General for two hours this morning.
She said she would not be rushed into making a decision, but does support a decision being made at tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting.
