Dundalk have restored their four point lead at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division.
Stephen Kenny’s side bagged a 2-1 win over Bohemians at Dalymount Park after goals in either half from Brian Gartland and John Mountney before Kurtis Byrne pulled a goal back for Bohemians.
Goalkeeper Gary Rogers started between the posts for the defending champions after he was released from the Ireland squad for tonight’s game against Bohemians at Dalymount Park.
Tonight’s other two games in the top-flight finished scoreless as Shamrock Rovers and St. Pat’s cancelled each other out at the Tallaght Stadium, while Derry City’s title hopes suffered a set-back as they were held to a draw by Galway United at the Brandywell.
In the First Division, UCD and Drogheda United were 2-0 winners over Cabinteely and Cobh Ramblers respectively, while Shelbourne were 3-0 winners over Athlone Town at Tolka Park.
There’s more action in the Airtricity League Premier Division tomorrow evening as Longford Town will play host to Bray Wanderers, while Finn Harps visit the Showgrounds for a north-west derby against Sligo Rovers.
In the First Division, champions Limerick will entertain Waterford United at the Market’s Field.
