After being downgraded to the U23s, there is now a chance for Bastian Schweinsteiger to redeem himself, as he is now included in Manchester United’s final Premier League squad, writes Gavin Spillane.
The German midfielder was exiled from Jose Mourinho’s plans for the this season but is now included in the 25-man squad, according to a report from the Manchester Evening News.
The 32-year old failed to secure a move from Old Trafford over the summer, but can now show his manager that he still has plenty to offer with a Manchester derby on the horizon.
The World Cup winner showed class in abundance following his omission from the squad, stating that he will “be ready if the team needs him.”
