Olympics medalists Gary and Paul O’Donovan have revealed they have had fans come up to them non-stop since returning home.
The Skibbereen brothers have been on a high since winning the silver medal in rowing at the Olympics in Rio.
Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show, Gary and Paul admitted they have had non stop attention since coming back to Ireland.
“People have asked us have we come back to earth, we haven’t even left earth can everyone else come back to earth,” Paul said.
“There was thousands of people waving and cheering at us (at the homecoming), it was mad. It’s amazing what sport can do,” Gary added.
Speaking about fans “pulling” at them for selfies, Gary said they have been spotted even when they’ve gone out incognito.
“Someone would spot ya,” Gary admitted.
“You’d be wearing a hat and sunglasses and they’ll be pulling at ya, for a selfie or to say well done,” he added.
Ryan asked the pair if they would go their seperate ways if they found someone faster, to which they both quickly replied “yes”.
The brothers also revealed they’ll be putting their Olympic medals on their nanas mantle piece.
