Brian Kennedy has revealed he is battling cancer.
The Belfast singer, 49, has admitted he was diagnoised with cancer in July, and now he is undergoing radiation therapy after a rectal tumour was found.
“I got this cancer for a reason and it is to say to me people get tested,” he told Matt Cooper on Today FM.

The singer added that he knew something was wrong when “something was out of kilter with me”.
“I said to him [the GP], ‘Look would you mind if we take this a bit further, I just want to know for peace of mind’. So he booked me a colonoscopy,” he explained.
“The next thing I know I was coming around on the bed and he says to me, ‘Brian, you’ve got a tumour in your rectum’.
“Honestly, I was kind of glad. I wasn’t sitting in a room having a cup of tea, thinking everything was fine.

“The staff who were there to say you’re fine all went away and these new people arrived.
“I nearly died. Lying on that bed, coming around and like, ‘What? I have a tumour?’”
Brian said his treatment programme is five weeks of radiation and chemo.
