Michael Fassbender has hinted he wants to start a family.

The Kerry actor made his red carpet debut with the Oscar-winning actress this week, but has said he doesn’t want to speak about their relationship in the public eye.

The couple met on the set of their new movie The Between Oceans, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival this week.

In the film the pair play a couple depserate to start a family, and when asked if Michael saw it as training for becoming a family man in real life, he replied: “Everything is a rehearsal.”

Meanwhile the Oscar-nominated actor revealed he was scared when he first met Aliciam admitting he needed to up his game.

“I was kind of scared when Alicia came in. She was so fierce and hungry.

“I really felt like I had to get my s*** together and just be there and be as present as she was.”
