Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information about the murder of Raonaid Murray, on the seventeenth anniversary of her death.

Raonaid’s body was found at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary less than 500 metres from her home in the early hours of September 4, 1999.

Gardaí say they have recently spoken again with a number of her close friends, and remain fully committed to the investigation.

They also say they want to speak to anyone who has any doubts about the alibis provided by others.

Detectives say anyone who has not come forward with relevant information may be unknowingly shielding a killer.
