Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth are set to attend the world premiere of the new Bridget Jones film.

Bridget Jones’s Baby opens in cinemas later this month.

The world premiere takes place at London’s Leicester Square tonight (September 5).

Directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones’s Diary), the new movie centres on creator Helen Fielding’s 40-something heroine who is unexpectedly expecting a baby.

After breaking up with Mark Darcy (Colin), Bridget finds herself single again and her “happily ever after hasn’t quite gone according to plan”.

Patrick Dempsey, who plays a “dashing American”, will also be at the premiere.

Emma Thompson also stars in the third Bridget Jones film.
