Bubbles O’Dwyer took time out from his celebrating Tipperary’s All Ireland victory to say sorry for swearing in his post-match interview.
O’Dwyer, who scored a superb goal and five points during the game, wasn’t able to hold back when speaking in the moments after the final whistle.
While being interviewed by RTÉ, he shouted: “We’re champions of f**kin’ IRELAND!!”

Most viewers saw the swearword as a natural expression of the emotion of victory but in case anyone was offended, the hurler has this morning said sorry.
I would like to apologise to @RTEgaa and @TheSundayGame for my slip of the tongue yesterday it happens the best of us @mickconlan11 😉😉

In a light-hearted Tweet O’Dwyer apologised to RTÉ for his “slip of the tongue”, adding that “it happens the best of us”.
He directed the quip at boxer Michael Conlan, also known for using strong language in a live interview.
Naturally Conlan, a Tipp fan, heartily agreed.
😂😂 it certainly does 😂😂 https://t.co/2blt77LRBh
