Flights at Cork Airport have been disrupted by fog with around 300 passengers being affected.

Three Aer Lingus flights were cancelled this morning, flight EI3760 from Cork to Leeds/Bradford, flight EI822 from Cork to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris and flight EI823 from the Paris airport tro Cork.

Two flights to Cork were diverted to Shannon, flight EI841 from Amsterdam and flight EI3701 from Birmingham.

A spokesman for the airport said that visibility there was down to between 250 metres and 275 metres from 10am and aircraft need a minimum of 300 metres to be able to land.

The spokesman said that the fog around Cork is now lifting.
