Summer is officially over and the countdown to Christmas has begun – we know this because Kylie has announced she is re-releasing her festive album.

The pop princess only just put out Kylie Christmas last year, but she’ll be unpacking the album along with the Christmas decorations all over again with a new version featuring some updated tracks.

She told Australian site News.com: “I’m working on various things. We’ve got some really really good new additions to the Christmas album for this year. I have started work on new material, the way the year’s panned out I won’t have that much time to work on it but my brain’s working overtime.”

Kylie also talked about a new duet she has been working on with Robbie Williams, with whom she recorded hit Kids in 2000. She said: “Where it’s going to go I couldn’t tell you, but it’s very good.”

She added that it’s possible we might even see a Christmas collaboration between her and fiance Joshua Sasse: “That’s how we met, singing together on [musical TV show] Galavant. Why not? A Christmas album would be a good format. Don’t hold your breath, nothing’s happened yet, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t happen.”
