The Britain’s Got Talent and I’m A Celebrity hosts told The Mirror at the TV Choice Awards that negotiations were almost complete.

Dec said: “We are not on the dotted line yet but we want to stay and they want us to stay. It is just ironing out all the bits and bobs.”

According to the newspaper, the joint deal is worth around £30 million for another three years with ITV – up from a reported £25 million for their previous contract.

A spokesman for the Geordie duo refused to comment on the figures.

Ant told the paper he and Dec were hoping to get the deal sorted before heading to the Australian jungle for I’m A Celebrity.

He said: “We have had people come and discuss stuff with us but we love ITV and all the programmes we make there and they want us to stay.

“Before we go to Oz we want to sort it out, yeah.”
