The Great British Bake Off contestant Candice Brown has won over much of the viewing public, mostly thanks to her affable attitude, daring bakes and her sensational lipstick choices.
Last week saw her bake her way to the top of the class, and she was named Star Baker, but she struggled at the start of bread week.
The heartstrings of the nation were pulled as, first, her Signature Bake collapsed on her as she took it out of the oven due to it being underbaked.

And then, taking it up to the judges, it failed to impress, leaving her in tears over her efforts … despite the fact it still looked pretty darned tasty.
Viewers flocked to Twitter in support of Candice, and also to praise her fellow contestants for having run to her aid as she took her chocolate and salted caramel brioche bread.
