Val Stones is one of the sweetest bakers to ever grace The Great British Bake Off tent.
However, the adorable dancing, tea-drinking contestant hasn’t had the best luck in the first two episodes, and has managed to hang on to her place in the competition by the proverbial skin of her teeth.
So you can imagine the sheer delight of Bake Off fans across the nation as she was named the winner of the Technical challenge during bread week.

It’s an event as unlikely as Paul Hollywood baking a bad loaf, and yet it happened: Val smashed the competition as the bakers were tasked with creating dampfnudel – 12 German steamed buns that nobody had ever heard of.
Twitter was ecstatic as Val did her bit to raise her status in the tent, with many people literally shouting with glee in all-caps, and others just so, so proud.
