The fastest Paralympian in the world, Ireland’s Jason Smyth, goes for gold in Rio this afternoon.
He can secure a third 100-metre medal in the final at 3.09 this afternoon after cruising to a comfortable win in last night’s heat.

Elsewhere in track cycling, Colin Lynch competes in the qualifiers of the C2 Individual Pursuit and Eoghan Clifford goes in the C3 qualifiers.
In the pool today, Nicole Turner goes in the heats of the S6 50-metre butterfly.
