Conor McGregor has sent a message of tribute to his coach John Kavanagh and also took the opportunity to thank his fans in Ireland.

Coach Kavanagh is making an appearance on tonight’s Late Late Show; a video released earlier in the week showed him ‘sparring’ with host Ryan Tubridy.

McGregor is Kavanagh’s most famous athlete and the Dubliner is delighted to see his coach, who is promoting his book ‘win or Learn’, appear on the talk show.

“You’re training with the right man there,” he said in a video message. “It’s great to finally see coach Kavanagh get the recognition he truly deserves.”

McGregor added: “I also want to give a shout out to everyone back in Ireland.

“Your support is much appreciated. Everyone that stuck by me, that had my back – I want to thank you.

“It’s that motivation that continues to push me on…to make the right moves on this crazy journey I’m on.”
