Swansea hosted Chelsea in Sunday’s only game in the Premier League, but it was more than enough excitement for one day.

The match at the Liberty Stadium looked like it might be a run-of-the-mill Chelsea victory at the half time break, after Diego Costa gave them the lead through a wonderful curling finish.
However the match quickly became a bit of a classic in the second half as Swansea fought back throguh a penalty and a bundled goal to lead 2-1. Costa levelled things up again though in the 81st minute, with an acrobatic overhead kick.
Costa could have had three goals if it weren’t for a glaring miss. He also could have been sent off before his second goal after it looked like he dived whilst on a yellow card.
Referee Andre Marriner didn’t see it as a dive however and fans on Twitter had mixed feelings for Chelsea’s striker.

One the other side of the coin however, Chelsea fans weren’t happy with Swansea’s second goal after it looked as though Gary Cahill was fouled by Leroy Fer as the midfielder surged towards goal.
Extraordinary goings on at Swansea. Cahill clearly fouled and somehow in this most one-sided of games Chelsea trail.

John Terry looked to pick up an injury at the end of the game too, as we he went to ground clutching his leg. It’s fair to say fans had mixed thoughts on that too…

The injury could clear the path for Chelsea’s returning man David Luiz against Liverpool in the season’s second Friday fixture though.
