The Taoiseach says he’s “got his mojo back”.
Enda Kenny was speaking as Fine Gael officially begins the new political term with its think-in in Newbridge.
The official theme of the event is improving the lives of citizens through next month’s Budget – but it has been somewhat overshadowed by the uncertainty around John Halligan.
But the Taoiseach says he is not phased by any of the confusion – and that he is back in good humour.
He’s also been explaining to reporters what exactly he means: “I didn’t enjoy the election but as they say I have got my mojo back.
“It is my zeal for life in politics, it’s the recovery of meeting the challenge of politics in very difficult situations.”
