The Creative Arts Emmy Awards 2016 took place on Sunday night, and several of the year’s biggest TV shows were awarded a number of top gongs, including Game Of Thrones and Making A Murderer.
The prestigious awards ceremony – which was held a week ahead of the Primetime Emmy Awards – celebrates the technical and behind-the-scenes achievements in television programming and took place over two nights.
Popular fantasy drama series Game Of Thrones was the biggest winner on the night, taking nine awards including Outstanding Costumes for a Period/Fantasy Series, Limited Series or Movie, Outstanding Special Visual Effects and Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie.
Netflix original documentary series Making A Murderer, which looked back over the the historic trial of accused and imprisoned Steven Avery for the killing of Teresa Halbach, won four awards including Outstanding Picture Editing For A Nonfiction Programme and Outstanding Directing For A Nonfiction Programme.
Grease: Live took a handful of gongs too, including Outstanding Special Class Programme and Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Nonfiction, Event Or Award Special, with its stars Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens sharing their glee over the wins via their social media pages on the night.
Brit star abroad James Corden won the Outstanding Interactive Programme accolade for his chat show The Late Late Show, and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane was honoured in the Outstanding Character Voiceover in an Animated Series category.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were honoured jointly in the Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category, winning as co-hosts of last year’s Christmas episode on Saturday Night Live.
Other award-winners included Downton Abbey, Fargo, American Idol, Robot Chicken, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and The Big Bang Theory.
The star-studded evening saw the likes of Grease stars Julianne and Vanessa joined by many other famous faces, including Heidi Klum, Ryan Seacrest, Jane Lynch, Katharine McPhee and Ellen Page.
