The Taoiseach has been told not to fantasize about a United Ireland.

Enda Kenny has signalled he is not in favour of a hard border between the North and the South in the wake of the Brexit vote.

But the outgoing UKIP leader in Northern Ireland David McNarry (pictured) says he needs to stay out of it: “Leave Northern Ireland alone, stop going into fantasy politics.

“Stop romanticising about things, these are real issues.”

Meanwhile the organiser of the 2003 Love Ulster parades which caused major riots in Dublin says he wants to try again.

Protestant Coalition founder Willie Frazer says the last march didn’t go ‘as planned’ – and says a new one would ‘send a message’ about how relations between North and South have changed. 

Mr Frazer says the push for a border poll on a United Ireland in the wake of Brexit is ‘inflammatory’.

Willie Frazer says he thinks an orange march in Dublin would be a step in a better direction.
