
There is plenty of Irish interest in Rio today, with 15 athletes in action across six sports.
Shooter, Sean Baldwin is the first Irish athlete into action today in Rio, competing in the R-7 50-metre rifle qualifier.

Just after 2pm, Deirdre Mongan begins her campaign in the F-53 shot put.
Nicole Turner and James Scully are back in the pool from 3.30pm, in the S-M-6 Individual Medley and the S-5 50-metre freestyle respectively. Should they qualify, their finals will be later tonight.
On the equestrian front, Helen Kearney goes in the Grade 1-A team test.
