A total of 110 engineering and science jobs have been announced for Limerick.

The jobs have been offered by South Carolina-based firm Ortec, which is to establish its European Headquarters in Newcastle West.

The positions are due to be filled over the coming years.

Ortec uses biomaterial and polymer technologies to manufacture customised products for the medical devices, pharmaceuticals and other health-related sectors.
