Now we all know super songstress Celine Dion has a very distinctive way of singing, so when Ellen DeGeneres asked her to rap on her show this week we knew we were in for a treat.

“You sing these ballads all the time,” Ellen DeGeneres said to the 48-year-old.

“I want you to keep growing as an artist, so we put some rap songs in the prompter. All you have to do is sing the words.”

First up, Nelly’s ‘Hot in Herre’ and let’s just say it didn’t disappoint.

“My career is going to end tonight,” she said before taking on LMFAO’s ‘Shots’.

Yes, you read that right.

Those facial expressions though – keep doing you Celine, keep doing you.

Speaking to DeGeneres candidly in a separate segment of the show, Dion revealed that her and her family are finding it “tough” to cope with the loss of her late husband, René Angélil.

“That was his destiny and I still feel extremely fortunate that he has given me three magnificent children. Wonderful pieces of luggage,” she said.

“And I’m well because he’s not suffering anymore. Because the hardest thing is not to lose somebody you love but to see them suffer. So for me to know that he is in a place where he doesn’t suffer anymore makes me feel way better.”

Dion is currently promoting her new album ‘Encore un Soir’ after returning to the stage at her Las Vegas residency.
