The opening whistle at theĀ Parc des Princes had barely been blown before PSG netted their first Champions League goal of the night against Arsenal.

PSG had Edinson Cavani to thank for their early lead, who headed home after just 42 seconds of play.

Gunners boss Arsenal Wenger made the risky gamble of swapping the favoured goalkeeper Petr Cech for David Ospina – and probably regretted it soon after.

There’d also been high hopes that German central defender Shkodran Mustafi – who was snapped up at the end of the transfer window – would transform Arsenal’s back line, but fans still found the Gunners’ defence questionable.
