Malachy O’Rourke will remain on as manager of the Monaghan senior footballers for the next three years.

O’Rourke led Monaghan to the Ulster title in 2013 and again last year, and the county board has confirmed he will stay on until 2019.

There will be at least one change to his backroom team however – Finbarr Fitzpatrick will be stepping back from his selector role.

Elsewhere, Kieran McGeeney will stay on as Armagh manager for a third year next season.

The County Board confirmed that the 2002 All-Ireland winning captain was ratified for the job for a third season, although he will no longer take charge of the Under 21 side.
