The 8-episode show takes over the Late Late Show during the summer months while it’s off-air, but the station weren’t afraid to put money into it.

The Freedom of Information Act showed that the series budget was spent on booking guests, transport, hair and make-up.

Making sure that the guests’ and Miriam’s hair and make-up were flawless for the cameras came at a cost of €170 per episode or €1,360 for the series, according to the Herald.

To complete their looks, wardrobe for the show came at €747 per episode, adding up to €5,974 in total.

The most expensive cost was for booking guests, including Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding and singer Tony Christie, which per episode was €3,538 – overall making it €28,303.

To get these guests to the Donnybrook studio was €771 per episode for transport, totalling €6,168.

Miriam’s 2016 show is now over as The Late Late Show returns – but she admitted she’d never want to fill Ryan Tubridy’s shoes.
