Fans of Northern Ireland, Wales and Iceland are also to get similar awards.
Each association will be presented with a commemorative plaque at one of their upcoming home World Cup qualifiers played in October.
Commenting on the decision, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said: “UEFA EURO 2016 was a celebration of football and this is thanks in large part to the passion and dedication of fans at all stadiums in France.
“UEFA wanted to reward some of the groups of supporters that were particularly enthusiastic and passionate during the tournament.”
We don’t want to blow our own trumpets but we were complete legends over in France – we definitely deserve this one.
Here’s a reminder of some of the best moments –
Having the craic with the locals…
…taking care of each other…
…and of course, a lullaby!
Irish fans have fixed cars, cleaned up, made friends and still had time to sing this baby a bed time song! #COYBIGhttps://t.co/77wroqyHbT
