The Transport Minster has said he is not ruling out opening Dublin bus lanes to the public amid the Dublin bus strike.
He has said he has every sympathy with the travelling public, but Shane Ross has said he will not intervene in the dispute.
Minister Ross also rejected criticism of his handling of the situation.
The Minister says he is looking at the bus lane situation: “We looked at this very carefully and we are still looking at this very carefully.
“I’m taking advice on it, I have looked for advice from the GardaĆ and the RSA.
“My own sympathy for those looking at the bus lanes is very acute. I think that the advice that I am getting is that there are, particularly from the road safety authority, is that it might have really serious safety issues.
“Particularly for ambulances and fire services going through”
