We’re used to seeing familiar faces popping up on The Voice, but X Factor’s auditionees tend to be unknowns looking for their big break.

However, tonight viewers recognised one of the wannabe pop stars as Waterloo Road’s Josh Stevenson, played by Will Rush, who’s having a second crack at the fame game, this time as a singer.

It seems Will is multi-talented, as he impressed all four judges and has been put through to bootcamp, so he may well be a regular again on our screens.

There was another former star in tonight’s episode of the ITV contest, too, as 25-year-old Mike Hough was previously nominated for a MOBO award in 2011 in the R&B/Soul category, but lost out to Adele.

It looks like his dream isn’t over just yet though, as he’s also been put through to the next round of the competition.

Viewers were impressed, too.

Watch out Adele, it might be you losing out to Mike next time.
