The first instalment of the X Factor Boot Camp was all a bit Hunger Games, and fans could not get enough.
The typically gruelling round opened with a twist – the Wall of Songs.
The hopefuls were told they each had to race over to a wall to pick a song written on a piece of paper, and that would be the number they performed for the judges.

Making it even worse, each song was written down three times so by picking a tune, each wannabe also picked a group to perform with – but blind.
Viewers thought it was a deliciously nasty twist.
Time for the HUNGER GAMES! #XFactor

Why has the wall of songs not always been done through the series? Watching all those contestants scramble and run was excellent. #XFactor

The Wall of Songs is the best idea in television, putting Naked Jungle into a very noble second place #xfactor

It was hard to find a fan on Twitter who didn’t love the new addition to the show.
