Angelina Jolie’s lawyer has confirmed she is ending her marriage to Brad Pitt.

Her lawyer says the decision was made for the health of the family and has asked that they be given privacy.

Angelina Jolie has reportedly filed for divorce from Brad Pitt just weeks after the couple celebrated their two year anniversary.

The couple have been together for more than a decade.

According to TMZ, Angelina filed legal documents on Monday citing irreconcilable differences between the couple.

“Angelina became “fed up” with Brad’s consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is “an anger problem” became dangerous for the children,” sources report on the website.

It is also said that the actress is seeking physical custody of the couple’s six children.

They have three adopted children and three biological kids.

They were engaged in 2012 after meeting on the set of their 2004 film Mr & Mrs Smith.

They married in a private ceremony in France in August 2014.
