Daniel Radcliffe has perfectly summed up the public reaction to the news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are divorcing.

Having been told “We’ve just heard Brad and Angelina are no more,” the Imperium star exclaimed: “Oh f*** me, have we? Oh Jesus.”

Quite.

Once he had calmed down, the Harry Potter actor had a more insightful response.

“Well it’s sad but maybe they’ll be better off,” he told the Press Association.

“I’m not someone who believes in that ‘stay together for the kids’ thing at all. I’m always like, I feel the kids are going to be happy with two parents who get on and live separately rather than two people who live with each other and hate each other’s guts.”

Daniel is also planning to get the inside scoop on exactly what happened.

“That’s very interesting,” he said. “I know someone who knows them. I’ll be talking to him shortly!”
