Now Dolly Parton’s Jolene may be only a song that you jam out to at your cousin’s wedding – until now.
The 70-year-old teamed up with acclaimed a cappella group Pentatonix (because she’s one of the cool kids you know) to re-visit the hit song and the result will make you fall in love with it all over again – trust us.
Pentatonix posted the video to their YouTube channel on Friday, and it has so far been watched by more than 7 million people.
The cover sees Parton sing the lead while the Grammy-winning a cappella group support with harmonies and rhythm.
The four-piece took to Twitter claiming the experience was a “a dream come true,” while Parton described it as “pure magic.”
Singing with @PTXofficial was pure magic, and we had lots of fun rearranging the song! #PTXDollyJolene
