Everything about Val was pure gold as the Great British Bake Off battled through pastry week.

From her soggy bottom to her over-sized amuse-bouche, she had a disaster of a week but pretty much everything she did was priceless.

At the end of the episode it was clear she had come to the end of the road and everyone was just devastated.
