After breaking the news on the Brangelina split, TMZ have now reported that Brad Pitt is under investigation for child abuse by the LAPD and L.A. County Dept of Children and Family Services.

TMZ state that the couple “were on a flight last Wednesday when he allegedly got wasted on the private jet. He allegedly went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids.

“We’re told the plane landed at an airport around 8 PM, and witnesses say Pitt continued his rant on the tarmac, and even tried leaving in one of the fuel trucks”.

It is believed the incident was reported to authorities either by someone on the plane, or a member of ground staff.

It is routine for the LAPD to investigate when anyone reports child abuse.

“Brad and Angelina have already been interviewed and DCFS plans to interview the kids as well. That investigation is ongoing,” TMZ write.

The incident was said to take place on September 18 and triggered Jolie to file for divorce on Monday September 19, the very next day.

A source close to Brad also told the website that, “He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” adding, “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”

The couple have been together for more than a decade and parent six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.
