More than €13m of funding has been announced for projects relating to the areas of migrant integration and gender equality.

It is hoped the €13.3m, which will be available over the next four years, will contribute to funding for training and development courses to help who want to return to the workforce.

The funding is also aimed at projects that provide practical help for immigrants, such as English language classes and workplace training schemes, as well as supporting anti-racism and cultural diversity initiatives.

The EU funded initiative was launched today by Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality David Stanton.
