Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has posted a gruesome picture of his injured foot after a collision with Barcelona’s Luis Suarez.

Suarez was shown a yellow card after this challenge on the Brazilian in the 83rd minute of the 1-1 draw between the two Spanish sides.

Shortly after the game Luis posted this picture on Instagram, captioned: “Luckily he didn’t touch me.”

Suarez is unrepentant, dismissing the post when asked about it after the game.

“Football is for men,” he said. “Everything stays on the pitch.

“If everyone uploaded what happens [on the pitch to social media accounts] the game would become a circus.”
