The Garda Representative Association will meet this morning to discuss a new pay deal.

After months of negotiations – a proposal has been reached between the union and the Department of Justice.

Talks between the Department and union have been on-going for several months – after a freeze was imposed on increments – in response to the GRA’s rejection of the Lansdowne Road Agreement.

The GRA’s Central Executive Committee will meet this morning – its hope the deal could see any potential threat of industrial action averted.
