A WEXFORD town couple are hoping to win their wedding for free, having reached the final stages of a competition on Beat 102-103FM in association with the Woodford Dolmen Hotel.

Aime O’Leary and Mario Covis have recently completed a ‘Win Your Wedding’ bootcamp and now have until this Sunday to raise as much funds as possible for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Engaged since 2012, Ms. O’Leary and Mr. Covis are going head-to-head with four other couples in a bid to raise more funds for their chosen charity than any of their challengers.

Ms. O’Leary, a Manager with Tesco and Mr. Covis, a Business Manager with Vodafone Ireland, have been together for the past six years.

They first met when they both worked together at Tesco.

The loved-up couple got engaged just before Christmas 2012, in a romantic proposal scene complete with candles and rose petals.

In an interview with Beat 102-103FM, Ms. O’Leary described her fiance as “strong, handsome and, to me, amazing.”

Mr. Covis, meanwhile, described his love as “beautiful, worthy and hard-working.”

Winning their wedding while their daughters are still young, the couple said, would be “amazing.”

The pair have experienced a tough past few years, as Mr. Covis battles Crohn’s Disease and Hydrantis Suppativa, a rare disease for which he attends St. Vincent’s and St. Michael’s Hospitals.

The couple have appealed to people in the county to support their bid and help make their dreams come true.

Anyone who may be holding an event this week, and would like to support both Temple Street Children’s Hospital and Ms. O’Leary and Mr. Covis’ bid in the process, is invited to contact Mario on 087 1474557 or Aime on 087 7791164 for more information.
