Significant risk to patients has been found at three residential centres for people with disabilities according to HIQA.
The health watchdog has issued reports into 19 facilities across the country today. It found major non-compliance in three of the seven Daughters of Charity centres reviewed.
HIQA said in one of these, fire safety risks – which had been identified in 2014 – remain an issue
It comes off the back of a series of negative reports issued by the Healthy Information and Quality Authority in recent months.
