Looking back at old video footage of yourself can be a painful experience – so we applaud The Rock for sitting down and watching his first ever WWE wrestling match.

Of course these days Dwayne Johnson is the ultimate Hollywood pro with consummate camera awareness – but this video, where he comments on his appearance at WWE’s Survivor Series in 1996, proves that wasn’t always the case.

WARNING: Do not watch if you’re offended by bad language, terrible hair or the thought that wrestling matches might be pre-planned.

Oh, where to start? The hair? The tight blue pants? The fact he has absolutely no idea where the camera is? Never mind smelling what The Rock is cooking, we can barely even see it.

Nice to see a Hollywood star with the ability to laugh at himself.
