New point-to-point season gets underway at Fairwood Park, Tinahely,next Sunsay.

The 2016-’17 point-to-point racing season opens at Fairwood Park, Tinahely, next Sunday with the first race off at 2 pm.

There are 59 entries for the six races with the highest entry – 18 – in the maiden race for four year olds, the first race on the card.

Ground conditions are expected to be good and all the leading trainers from the south-east hold entries.
