The latest episode of The Great British Bake Off saw the six remaining bakers in the tent tasked with having to create 24 mini-mousse cakes for the showstopper challenge.
This meant they had to bake 12 of two different types of mousse cakes, complete with sponge and delectable mousse fillings.
However, as the episode continued, and the word mousse – the light and creamy dessert favourite – was repeated, fans on Twitter could not get the idea of moose – the elk-like animal – out of their heads.
As the moose versus mousse mix-up continued, Bake Off fans took to social media to air their rather hilarious confusion.
It certainly made for a cute addition to the Bake Off, that’s for sure.

Some fans thought the word mousse (or was it moose?) was used far too much. Is it even a word any more?
There's only so many times you can hear mousse before it stops sounding like a real word... #TheresAMousseLooseAbootThisHoose #GBBO
