Tori Spelling has announced that she is expecting her fifth child.

The former Beverly Hills 90210 star – already mum to four children with husband Dean McDermott – admitted that baby number five was “a total surprise”.

She told People magazine: “But we always wanted a big family. I’m really excited.”

Tori, 43, and Dean, 49, are already parents to Liam, nine, Stella, eight, Hattie, five and four-year-old Finn.

She laughed: “Dean was saying, ‘We just got Finn out of diapers; I thought we were in the clear!’

“For the first time this year, they’re all in school.

“So it’s like, wow. We’re basically starting over.”

In 2012 Tori underwent emergency surgery following complications from her c-section when she had Finn.
