A seatbelt could determine weather you live or die in the event of crash.
That’s the warning from the Road Safety Authority who are reminding drivers to belt up and adhere to rules of the road.
A series of events have been taking place nationwide all week to mark Irish Road Safety Week 2016.
Brian Farrell of the Road Safety Authority said people often forget the risks of driving, adding: “Using the roads is the most dangerous thing we do every day, and we get complacent.
“We want people to use this opportunity to reflect on our behaviour and attitudes. If we made small changes, it would have a impact on road safety.”
