Over the first fence in the four year old maiden race at Fairwood, Tinahely, today, were Graystown (John Barry) 15, and Some Clash (Richard Harding) 11. The winner was Manitowoc County (Jamie Codd) in the orange jacket, while sleeves and orange cap.

Popular Wexford rider Barry O’Neill was the man to follow at today’s point-to-point fixture at Fairwood, Tinahely, when he won the last three races on the card. Reigning champion Jamie Codd also enjoyed success.

Wexford trainers Colin Bowe, Denis Murphy and John Paul Brennan kept the local punters happy on a dry and pleasant afternoon.

There were also training victories for visiting trainers, Andrew Slattery, Tipparary, Shark Hanlon, Carlow and Tom Nagle who trains near Mallow in Cork.

Goffs UK Doncaster Autumn Sale (31 Oct) Maiden Race for four year olds of €800; 1st, Maria Byrne’s Manitowoc County (Denis Murphy), Jamie Codd. 11 ran.

Maiden Race for Five Year Old Geldings of €800; 1st, Mrs Sharon Slattery’s Bellamy (Andrew Slattery), Roger Quinlan. 10 ran.

Mares Winner of One Race of €800; 1st, Rachel O’Neill’s Lady Jameson (John Joseph Hanlon), Richard Harding. 4 ran.

Open Lightweight Race of €1,000; 1st, Marie Brennan’s Need To Know (John Paul Brennan), Barry O’Neill. 7 ran.

Mares Maiden Race for Five Year Olds and Upwards of €800; Deborah Halley’s Spring Pools (Colin Bowe), Barry O’Neill. 7 ran.

Geldings Maiden Race for Six Year Olds and Older of €800; T.J. Nagle’s Golander (Owner), Barry O’Neill. 5 ran.
