Sean O’Mahony’s have been celebrating their Louth Senior Football Championship title for a week by now, writes Stephen Barry.
The club’s Facebook page has documented the Joe Ward Cup doing a tour of local schools, nursing homes and pubs since winning their first senior crown last weekend.
The O’Mahony’s have brought the trophy to Dundalk FC’s Oriel Park and, now, the celebration trail has brought it to the local church during a novena.

Fr Michael Cusack invited the team to Sunday mass and had a small request to make of his new choir – to sing the club’s anthem, ‘Grand Old Team’.
